MINIBUSES CONTRACT TERMS
(To
comply with “the unfair terms in consumer contracts regulations 99/2083”)
1. Bookings will only be taken
from person(s) over 18 years old with legal capacity, whom are authorised
to make such a booking.
2. This “hirer” will be regarded
as the principal, or the agent to the principal if organising on behalf of
their employer or any other organisation.
3. The hirer will be accountable
for the party and any additional cost incurred by the party.
4. The hirer will be the only
person the driver will take instruction from, unless, they appoint other person(s)
with this authority.
5. Quotations should not be
taken as confirmation of availability.
6. Quotations are valid for
28 days.
7. Any contract lasting over
1 year will have an annual inflation increase, using the AEI (Annual Earnings
Index) as an arbitrary rate.
8. Quotations are based around;
time, mileage, vehicle and opportunity cost. The quotation is given from the
information supplied by the principle. Any additional work, including valeting,
will be charged at an appropriate cost.
9. Lost luggage collection
will be charged and stored in accordance with current legal protocol/rates
for passenger transport. 1-16 can take no responsibility if items are lost
by passengers. No insurance is given or implied for items left on the vehicle.
10. Where credit is agreed,
terms are strictly 28 days payment. Interest will be added at 2% above
bases rate on unpaid bills.
11. 1-16 has a strict non-smoking
policy and drinking policy. No animals are allowed except; the permitted number
of blind/hearing dogs.
12. In the event of a break
down liability is limited to the full fare.
13. 1-16 Charges a cancellation
fee set out below. So 1-16 neither gains nor losses from a cancellation, the
fee is reduced to allow for fuel not used and tapered to take account the
likely hood of finding alternative work:
